TrueNorth Forensic Advisors provides comprehensive economic damages analyses in personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, and related litigation matters.
Analyses may include lost earnings, loss of earning capacity, fringe benefits, household services, mitigation, and personal consumption considerations, as applicable.
Each engagement is supported by clearly documented assumptions, current data sources, and transparent methodology, allowing counsel to understand not only the damages conclusions, but the analytical pathway behind them.
Alison prepares clear, well-organized expert reports designed to withstand deposition and trial scrutiny.
Reports are tailored to the procedural posture of each case and the specific needs of counsel, whether for affirmative opinions, rebuttal analysis, or supplemental disclosures.
Rebuttal work focuses on identifying unsupported assumptions, methodological inconsistencies, and analytical gaps in opposing expert opinions — and presenting those critiques in a precise, defensible manner.
In addition to expert testimony, TrueNorth Forensic Advisors provides litigation consulting support throughout the life of a case.
This may include early damages assessment, discovery support, document review, and collaboration with counsel to refine damages theories and expert strategy.
This proactive approach helps identify issues early, streamline case development, and reduce uncertainty as matters progress.
Testimony support includes deposition and trial preparation, review of anticipated lines of questioning, and alignment between written opinions and oral testimony.
The focus is on clarity, consistency, and confidence — ensuring that opinions are communicated effectively under examination.
Alison Wise brings over a decade of experience as a forensic accountant and economic damages expert, supporting counsel in personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, and complex civil litigation.
Alison specializes in translating complex financial and economic concepts into clear, defensible analyses that stand up to scrutiny — whether in written expert reports, deposition, or trial. Her work is grounded in disciplined methodology, transparent assumptions, and a practical understanding of how damages opinions are evaluated, challenged, and presented in real-world litigation.
Before founding TrueNorth Forensic Advisors, Alison worked extensively with attorneys and expert teams on high-stakes matters involving lost earnings, loss of earning capacity, household services, benefits, mitigation, and financial reconstruction. That experience shaped her approach today: rigorous analysis paired with clear communication and strategic awareness of how expert opinions are actually used in court.
While Alison frequently works with defense firms, she also supports plaintiff matters when a clear, methodical, and well-supported damages analysis is required. In every engagement, the goal is the same — to provide credible opinions that help counsel assess exposure, prepare effectively, and present damages clearly.
Alison holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Arizona State University and a Master of Science in Forensic and Fraud Examination from West Virginia University.
